Flipped classroom with videos in Chemistry and active learning pedagogy.
Projects:
While some installments of flipped classrooms use textbook for learning at home, we opted at Cégep André-Laurendeau for educational videos to flip our chemistry classrooms. Both projects are an enrichment of a web-based educational video bank in chemistry for flipped classroom.
- Videos for flipped classroom in general chemistry
French videos were filmed using a conceptual approach for topics like bond polarity, intermolecular forces, physical changes and solubility. Some other videos for procedural topics like inorganic nomenclature were also filmed. - Videos for flipped classroom in solutions chemistry
French videos were filmed using a conceptual approach for topics like acids and bases and distinguishing between stong and week acid. Some other videos for procedural tropic like redox reactions were also filmed.
